Tiny Embellishments

The Curse of Scrapbooking

Do you have what seems like thousands of tiny, itsy bitsy little embellishments?

You know the ones. They are so cute when you see them in the store. They will look so good on a future scrapbooking page. So you buy them, lots of them.

Later you are scrapbooking and think that aborable little silver pacifier I bought would look great on this spot of this page. The curse-where the heck is it! You end up with so many tiny little pieces that they are impossible to find when you need them.

Scrapbookers purchase millions of dollars of organizers every year in an effort to organize all of the different tools and toys they accumulate. If something really worked, would there be a need to keep buying more?

We can actually learn a thing or two from men and babies.

Years ago, many years ago, men saved baby food jars for the garage to organize all of their screws and washers in the garage. They still put baby food in reuseable jars today. You can screw the lid into the underside of a shelf and simply unscrew the bottle from the cap to use. The cap stays in place. When you are done simply put the jar in place and twist. Baby food also comes in rectangular lidded tubs that can be labeled and stacked on a shelf. Don't forget the formula cans for larger items. They even come in different sizes.

Find someone you know who has a baby. Most people don't mind at all saving the containers for you.
