"Indygo Junction's Needle Felting: 22 Stylish Projects for Home and Fashion" by Amy Barickman has all of the help you have been waiting for.

I see so many wool felted items in the stores. They have such a rich handmade appeal. I have wanted to do felting myself but that was one area of crafts I have never tried. That alone is a challenge for me. I was asked to review Needle Felting and was thrilled.

Often when I review a book it is difficult to know if it is basic enough in its instruction for the beginner. I was the perfect person to review this book as I am the consummate beginner.

In exploring Needle Felting I found the instruction was great. I wanted to run right out and begin felting. She is clever and creates beautiful items. She gives step by step instruction to follow to create so real treasures.

Amy's use of color in to be commended. The combinations are so appealing it makes you want more.

I was disappointed only in that it seemed to take very specific tools that are not items we generally have laying around the house and won't find in our local craft store. Amy thought of everything though. She includes a website for supplies, patterns, tools, etc. We are definitely familiar with using the web to get what we want.
