"Fabric Leftovers: Simple, adaptable way to use up scraps" is written by D'Arcy-Jean Milne and published by C & T Publishing.

Do you sew, journal, create floral arrangements, make totes or CD cases? It doesn't really matter which craft you are into. This book is truly for everyone. When you glance through the book the first thing that strikes you is that Ms. Milne's designs with scrap are nicer than many designs we see with perfect materials.

The colors, textures and patterns are amazing. This is my first book by D'Arcy-Jean and I am a fan. She is a woman after my own heart. I know this because the beginning of the book is all about dissecting and recycling old clothing. She finds a use for everything from a sleeve to the waist band of an old pair of pants.

The book does not expect you to go out and buy 16 different materials and supplies before you get started. They do expect you to look around and notice things you preciously may have overlooked.

D'Arcy-Jean's designs appear incredibly complex. They aren't. She breaks them down into understandable parts. Some of her most exciting pieces are her boxes. Especially at this time of year. These would make really special gift boxes. At first I thought she might show pictures of the masterpieces and then give basic instruction for a more simplistic project. She doesn't. She gives do-able instruction for the exquisite creations in the pictures.

I can't wait to try these. This book is a must have for all crafters.
