In earlier articles the author described and explained about Pixelhobby, the new mini mosaic craft from Holland, and also how the crafter can make Pixelhobby mosaics from his or her own photos. The reader may wish to review these articles first. Now, it should be noted that both Pixelhobby kits and the completed mosaic pictures make excellent gifts.

No-one ever knows what to buy for the person "who has everything". But if that person is at all interested in crafts or handwork, a Pixelhobby kit is the perfect solution. Kits have full instructions and all the materials required, and are suitable for anyone from the age of seven upwards. They can be bought in almost any size, from a one-baseplate kit (5” x 4”) to something much larger....the sky is the limit!

The crafter will find that completed mosaics, framed or made into coasters, mats, or trays, make most acceptable and unusual gifts. One can also make completed mosaics into unique birthday or Christmas cards. It is possible to buy kits with Christmas themes, such as Christmas trees or robins and holly, and these make lovely cards or coasters.
Personalised Kits or Gifts
An even more unusual gift can be made by using a picture of something dear to the proposed recipient, such as his or her cat, dog, child, house etc. A photo of any of these can be made up into a Pixelhobby kit, using the special software which can be downloaded from the Pixelhobby Dutch distributor’s website, or bought from most Pixelhobby suppliers. Or many Pixelhobby suppliers will make up personalised kits for customers, using a photo or picture supplied to them. Either the kit itself, or the completed picture, will then make a unique and totally personal present. It could even nd up being a family heirloom!
