One thing Pebbles, Inc does better than anyone else is to take a simply common, everyday item and make it more functional with flair.
Foam Stamps
Take for example their new foam stamps. We all have foam stamps in our collection. We have them because they had a design that caught our eye. The functionality of many of the foam stamps leaves a lot to be desired. Pebbles, Inc foam stamps really address the issues. First their stamps are 5/8” thick. This gives you something to grip without getting your fingers into the project or losing your grip and smearing your stamp. Why didn’t anyone think of that before?
I got the opportunity to try the sets “a-letta’s” and “fancifuls”. The first is a set of alphabet and the second a set of design elements. The stamps are substantial. They measure over 2” in height and 1 ¾” across. This is not the stamp that will disappear on your page.
There are two other features of these stamps that show Pebbles, Inc. understands the needs of the stamper. The stamps are easy clean up with soap and water. No additional solvent is needed. The second issue is storage. What do you do with all of the individual stamps when you are done? We have so many products to store as crafters that this is a big deal. Pebbles Inc. has actually made the sheet that you pop the stamps out of initially into a holding tray to retain the pieces all together and allow them to store in a small space. Stencils and Chalking pom poms
When you purchase a set of Pebbles, Inc stencils they are in a silver 3”x 5” tin container. This is not disposable. They are giving you the storage container, again eliminating the need for you to address that problem. When you consider stencils being small by design and easily destroyed, this is going to definitely add to the value.
Each set comes with 10 stencils. The “Fancy Frills” set has everything from leaves to Fleur-de-lil. The vines and swirls allow for creativity from every angle. There are designs for the corners of your projects as well as just making a statement to give emphasis to your photo.
The chalking pom pom set comes with 3 different size pom poms and a free stencil to practice on. They sell a chalk applicator tool separately that holds the pom pom while you use it to apply chalk to a stencil or paint to a foam stamp. You do not need to touch the pom pom to dispose of it as you only need to pinch the clip and it drops off into the wastebasket. Great for clean up but does that mean that I have to buy more than one set to even have enough pom poms to create one project? I counted 72 pom poms in all in just one set. Pebbles, Inc. realized the need to have plenty of pom poms on hand.
