You don’t want to show up at an adult Halloween party wearing the same thing as someone else. But you’re out of time and you need a cheap, easy, creative costume- fast!
If you’re going to be creating your Halloween costume at home from scratch or with a quick trip to a store or two, here are some creative costume ideas.
Halloween Costume: Angel/Devil
Start with all white on one person, all red on the other. If you can find angel wings and a devil horns/tail at a dollar store or costume store, you’ll be in great shape! Easy, fun, fast.
Halloween Costume: Pac Man/Ms. Pac Man
A quick trip to the fabric store for some yellow foamy material and some cotton batting and this would be a quick, simple Halloween costume. A big pink bow in Ms. Pac Man’s hair and some high heels and lots of makeup are cute details. If you are really creative and have a bit more time, you can get two large (appliance store) boxes and build video game machines with the PacMan/Ms. Pac Man logos - maybe you’ll even get paid in quarters!
Halloween Costume: Bionic Woman/$6 Million Man
Almost everyone has an old computer in the house- if you have one you can sacrifice, smash it open and get some of the flat wired computer boards to attach to your arms and legs. The $6 Million Man simply needs a sweatshirt with “$6 Million” written on it. Even better if you can download the ‘cch cch chh’ music and have it playing on a hidden ipod! This is a creative, original, cheap Halloween costume.
Halloween Costume: Babies
Easy, cheap, fast last minute Halloween costume. Cute pajamas (with feet if you can find them!), ponytails in your hair, freckles made out of eyeliner, and carrying a teddy bear or blankie are all you need! Add a pacifier around your neck or hold a bottle for extra detail.
Halloween Costume: Each Other
Another great quick idea is to dress as each other! Pick clothes out that are iconic- a certain baseball hat, ripped jeans with boots- whatever the personal things are that will make you identifiable as each other. You might pick up ‘Hello My Name Is” sticker name tags from an office supply store and put each other’s names on so people don’t have to wonder.
Group Halloween Costumes
Putting together group costumes for the Desperate Housewives characters, Simpsons, Peanuts, Teletubbies, South Park kids, Fruit of the Loom characters, Flintstones, KISS rock band, Disney Princesses or Spongebob characters are easy, creative, original Halloween costumes that are fun to make.
