It is a resource book that will be an asset to your library and used over and over again. Dunnewold gives complete illustrated instruction for stamping, stenciling , bleaching, painting, and dying fabric. She takes it even farther by including water-based resist treatments and adding foils and glitter to fabric. Complex Cloth even has a section on beading and embroidery.So far it is a good resource. What makes this unique is that she teaches you how to create your own stencils also. You can find information on dying fabric but this book includes information on how to develop your own dyes. If you have ever wanted to alter your fabric in anyway, shape or form, this is the must have book of the year. Working with fabric can be frustrating at times due to the limitations of what is available in the store near you. This book allows you to create the fabric you want. You might find one available in the store the right shade of blue but wish it had an accent color or a print on it that would make it perfect for your project.
